Pass on The Love

Have you met one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet? It's K at MummyPinkwellies. We were chatting on Twitter the other day, one of those days where we were sharing the same thoughts (I do love it when that happens) and lo and behold, yesterday pops up the most beautiful post.

When you blog, I think you tend to blog for yourself. I certainly did back then when K was reading my blog by her dear daughter's bedside. You never know who is reading, and what they are finding when they read your blog. When K first told me she read Not Even A Bag of Sugar when her daughter was in NICU, I was amazed, and a little over awed.

Sometimes someone comes into your life, and just makes it a sunnier, happier place to be. Someone that makes you feel like you matter, that what you say and what you do matters. Most of all someone comes in, and shares your vision and makes it real.

Katherine makes you want to have fun. She makes you want to sit on plastic dogs backwards, to have a piece of cake and a cup of coffee, and to flirt with that Italian waiter. She makes life fun. Together we have known sadness and heartbreak, but we still know how to have fun darn it! Just thinking about her makes me smile.

Katherine and I share a vision. That prematurity matters. That our tiny babies matter, and most of all that their families matter. World Prematurity Day is so important to us, and we want to make it important to you too. I feel like together we can achieve something truly fabulous and leave a legacy for other families, and their special babies.

Whenever I feel sad and bitter that I had a premature baby, I think of the friends I have met, the alliances I have forged, and people like Katherine who wouldn't have been in my life without Joseph being born at 27 weeks gestation, and I can feel nothing but gratitude.

We're not lucky.

We are blessed.

Do you have a treasured blogger or online friend? Please, if you do, join up to this lovely linky over at Anecdotes of a Manic Mum. And whilst you are there, please read about the battle of her life that she is going through at present.

Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this blog could
undeniably be one of the very best in its niche. Excellent blog!
