PiggyBankKids – and My First Ever Give Away

As you all know, last weekend I went to Cybermummy 2011, very kindly sponsored by Zu3D without whom I would have not been able to attend.

There were two parts of the day that resonated with me the most. The first was the address to us all by Sarah Brown, wife of the former Prime Minister. She spoke passionately about her charity PiggyBankKids. To my shame, I hadn’t been fully aware of this charity until now. I knew vaguely of its existence, but not its purpose. 

“PiggyBankKids is about changing children’s lives. Every single child is precious and unique. At PiggyBankKids we work hard to give children the best possible chance of living a healthy and happy life, here in the UK. We want to help as many children as we can: from the vulnerable babies whose lives could be saved with the right scientific breakthroughs, to those kids and young people who have the hardest start in life.”

The second part of the day that really spoke to me was the seminar on Blogger Activism. I love my blog and I’m passionate about blogging and I’m passionate about the content of my blog.  I am keen to utilise my blog to do more, to help charities that mean something to me, and that I have benefited from, directly or indirectly.
PiggyBankKids do many worthwhile things, but the one that has captured my attention is the Jennifer Brown Research Fund and Laboratory, named in the memory of Sarah and Gordon’s beloved daughter.  This centre researches causes of prematurity, is conducting pre-eclampsia research, and some of the conditions that affect neonates, often into adulthood. 

So now to the giveaway! To help raise the awareness of this wonderful charity we are giving away one of their fabulous Disco Pigs. To win one of these gorgeous pigs please answer the following question.

    Difficult question. 8 colours (9 if you include the ceramic one to be painted). 12 pictured altogether as different sizes.

    Hey love!! I know Im not a UK resident but plenty of my friends are so I still tweeted and liked on FB in the hope that some of my friend might see it... next time you do a giveaway maybe make one of the requirements that they mention it in a blogpost and link back, this gives even more exposure :) Good luck everyone Im jealous I cant win.... unless you want to hold the piggy til I get there next year ;)
